New King size quilt
The April issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine had this quilt on the cover. I loved it and wanted to make it. When my husband saw it, he loved it too. I decided to expand on Diane Tomlinson’s design to enlarge it and make it king size. I quilted it on an APQS Millie longarm machine at Over The Top Quilting Studio in Cedar Park, TX. The really cool part is most of this quilt was made from my fabric stash!
Latest finish
I was able to quilt this pineapple quilt (pattern by Sherri L McConnell of A Quilting Life) on the APQS Millie 30 long arm machine at Over The Top Quilting Studio in Cedar Park, TX. I used the computer on this one to quilt a Celtic Knot design. There are so many choices of quilting patterns, but I really liked how this turned out.
Birthday Wishes
I absolutely LOVE this birthday card from Jarrod and Claire. Along with this very creative rendition of a long-arm machine, came a gift certificate to Over The Top Quilting Studio so I can play on the APQS long arm machines again. Drew participated in this birthday gift too! Woo hoo!!
Long Arm Fun!
I’ve recently been going down to Over The Top Quilting Studio in Cedar Park, TX where you can rent long arm machines by the hour for those bigger quilting jobs. It’s been so much fun using these incredible machines, and I can’t recommend Over The Top highly enough! Here’s one of my latest projects!
Sudoku!
My latest creation was a surprise for a good friend who is a Sudoku enthusiast! This project was such a fun challenge!
A Brand New TLD Original!
I finished the first quilt that I designed this weekend and it was made from my scraps. It’s an Irish Chain pattern with stars sprinkled in. I quilted it on my domestic machine (Bernina). Overall, I’m happy with the outcome! I’m just not thinking about the hours it took to actually quilt it!!
Rainy Days are made for quilting!
It’s that kind of day! Rain and more rain.
Quilted Praise!
Last night at the Waco Homespun Quilters Guild meeting, the quilt I made for the quilt block challenge won two awards!! One for best use of color and one for the category using 10-12 of the blocks from the challenge. I had fun making all of the blocks so why not use all of them? Very exciting evening!! The prize is more fabric because there can never be too much of that!!
